Student Selection Process

 Admission to Four-Year UG Programs in Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Chemical Engineering, and Civil Infrastructure Engineering for academic year 2004-05 will be made on the basis of AIEEE 2004 ranking. Seats in all programs will be allotted in order of AIEEE 2004 merit & on the basis of the preferences indicated at the time of JUIT counseling.

What does it take to get into JUIT?

JUIT's admissions decisions are based on merit ranking in the AIEEE - All India Engineering  Entrance Exam conducted by the CBSE once every year. Once you enroll, we look closely at other aspects of students such as personal accomplishments, and such characteristics as creativity, leadership, and love of learning. In essence, we are looking for a diverse group of intellectually curious students who will pursue our academic program with vigor and contribute actively to JUIT's residential community.

Number of Seats

The total number of seats for the academic year 2004-05 will be 1140 for the 4-year UG programs, with 540 at Noida, 360 at Waknaghat and 240 at Guna. This number may change depending on the academic profiles of the candidates. At JUIT Waknaghat, 5% additional seats over and above the normal intake capacity will be allotted to bonafide students of the State of Himachal Pradesh who have passed the qualifying examination from institutions located in Himachal Pradesh. However, these seats also will be filled based on All India merit of AIEEE 2004.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum academic qualification for admission to anyone of the UG programs is a pass in the 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates with a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology but no Mathematics are eligible only for the Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programs. Those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1983 and have passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam not before year 2001 or appearing in year 2004 are only eligible to apply.

Candidates must produce certificate of proof of his/her date of birth and qualifying examination at the time of counseling failing, which they will be disqualified. If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date, after admission to the University, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. The decision of the Admissions Committee of JUIT regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

How much will it cost to attend JUIT?
 

Tuition Fee                            :               Rs.30, 000 per semester

IDF Fee                                                 :                    Rs.25, 000 per annum

Caution Money Deposit       :               Rs.10, 000 one-time deposit (Refundable)

Hostel & Mess Charges      :               Rs.25,000 per semester

Laundry Charges                  :               Rs 150 /month

Student Counseling

Candidates will be invited for counseling through a written communication on the basis of their ranking in AIEEE 2004. The counseling will be conducted at the JIIT, Noida campus. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list displayed on the University's website, but have not received the written communication for counseling, can also appear for counseling on the date(s) notified.

 Submission of ApplicationForm

 The last date for receiving the completed Application Form is April 30th 2004. Candidates are required to ensure that the completed Application is received by OSD, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), A-10, Sector 62, NOIDA – 201307 before the last date.
